General
What are peptides?
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as signaling molecules in your body. They occur naturally and regulate processes like growth hormone release, tissue repair, immune function, and metabolism. Therapeutic peptides are bioidentical or analog versions of these natural molecules.
Are peptides safe?
The peptides we carry have been studied in clinical research and are manufactured in cGMP-compliant, USA-based facilities. Every batch is third-party tested for purity (>99%). However, peptides are powerful compounds — they should always be used under the guidance of a licensed healthcare provider.
Do I need a prescription?
Our peptides are clinically guided. After placing an order, you'll complete a brief medical intake form that is reviewed by a licensed provider. If approved, your order ships directly to you. This process ensures safe, appropriate use.
How do I know which peptide is right for me?
Start with your health goal — fat loss, recovery, immune support, longevity, or cognitive enhancement. Our product categories are organized by goal to help you find the right fit. For personalized guidance, consult with your healthcare provider.
Ordering & Shipping
How does the ordering process work?
It's simple: (1) Browse and select your peptides, (2) Complete the medical intake for clinician approval, (3) Once approved, your order ships with fast, discreet delivery.
How long does shipping take?
Orders typically ship within 1–2 business days of clinician approval. Standard delivery is 3–5 business days. All shipments are discreet and temperature-controlled when necessary.
Do you ship internationally?
Currently, we ship within the United States only. International shipping regulations for peptides vary by country and we are working to expand availability.
Reconstitution & Dosing
What is reconstitution?
Peptides arrive as a freeze-dried powder in a sealed vial. Reconstitution is the process of adding bacteriostatic water (BAC water) to dissolve the powder into an injectable solution. Our calculator tool makes this simple.
How much bacteriostatic water should I add?
It depends on your vial size and desired concentration. A common approach is 2 mL of BAC water per 5 mg vial, but use our Reconstitution Calculator for precise measurements based on your specific peptide and dose.
How do I inject peptides?
Most peptides are injected subcutaneously (SubQ) using a U-100 insulin syringe. Clean the injection site with an alcohol swab, pinch the skin at the abdomen or thigh, insert the needle at a 45° angle, and inject slowly. Rotate injection sites to avoid irritation.
What syringe do I need?
We recommend U-100 insulin syringes (typically 0.5 mL or 1 mL with 29–31 gauge needles). These are widely available at pharmacies. The fine gauge minimizes discomfort.
When should I take my peptide?
Timing varies by peptide. Growth hormone secretagogues (Tesamorelin, Ipamorelin, CJC-1295) are best taken on an empty stomach, often before bed or first thing in the morning. Recovery peptides (BPC-157, TB-500) can be taken any time. Check our Cheat Sheet for peptide-specific guidance.
Storage & Handling
How should I store peptides?
Unreconstituted (dry powder): Store in a cool, dark place. Refrigeration extends shelf life. Reconstituted (mixed with BAC water): Must be refrigerated at 36–46°F (2–8°C). Never freeze reconstituted peptides. Most reconstituted peptides remain stable for 28 days.
How long do peptides last after reconstitution?
Typically 28 days when properly refrigerated. Some peptides may have shorter or longer stability windows — check the product page for specifics. Always discard if the solution becomes cloudy or discolored.
Quality & Safety
Where are your peptides manufactured?
All LYV Rx peptides are manufactured in FDA-registered, cGMP-compliant facilities in the United States. Every batch undergoes third-party testing for identity, purity, and potency.
What does 'third-party tested' mean?
Independent laboratories (not affiliated with the manufacturer) verify each batch using techniques like HPLC and mass spectrometry. This ensures the peptide is what it claims to be, at the stated purity (>99%), free from contaminants.
Can I see a Certificate of Analysis (COA)?
Yes. COAs are available for all our products. Contact our support team or check the product page for downloadable certificates.
Are there side effects?
Side effects are generally mild and may include injection site redness, mild nausea, or water retention. These typically resolve within the first few days. Serious side effects are rare when peptides are used at recommended doses under clinical guidance. Always report unusual symptoms to your healthcare provider.
Popular Peptides
What is BPC-157 used for?
BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound) is a gastric peptide studied for its role in tissue repair, gut healing, and reducing inflammation. It's commonly used for joint recovery, tendon repair, and GI support. Often stacked with TB-500 for enhanced recovery.
What is Tesamorelin?
Tesamorelin is a growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) analog that stimulates natural GH production. It's FDA-approved for reducing visceral adipose tissue and is widely used for body composition optimization, improved sleep quality, and metabolic health.
What is the difference between CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin?
CJC-1295 (no DAC) is a GHRH analog that amplifies growth hormone pulses. Ipamorelin is a selective GH secretagogue that triggers GH release without affecting cortisol or prolactin. Together, they create a synergistic 'pulse + amplify' effect — this is why the CJC-1295/Ipamorelin blend is one of our most popular products.
What is Thymosin Alpha-1?
Thymosin Alpha-1 is a naturally occurring thymic peptide that modulates immune function. It's used to support immune resilience, particularly during periods of high stress, travel, or illness recovery. It has a strong safety profile with decades of clinical research.
